The sign-in session cookie and the anti-forgery cookies. These are always set, are exempt from consent under the UK PECR, and carry no third-party identifiers. Without them you can't sign in.
Analytics (optional)
If the operator has enabled analytics, a cookie banner asks for your consent on first visit. Analytics stays off — and no analytics cookies are set — until you accept. Where Google Analytics is used it runs under Google consent mode with IP anonymisation; declining leaves the site fully usable. If no analytics is configured, you won't see a banner at all.
